Bring the specification with you
Compare the finished room with the agreed product list and written scope. Include any changes accepted during the work. Check that you understand what has been fitted and record anything that needs a further discussion.
Learn how the products are used
Ask for a demonstration of controls, drawers, shower doors and any unfamiliar features. Check that you can reach and operate the things you will use every day. Follow the product instructions rather than assuming the new fitting works like the old one.
Clarify any waiting period or care instructions before using or cleaning newly finished areas. These should come from the applicable product and installation guidance, not a generic estimate.
Collect the paperwork
Keep instructions, product references, care guidance and any applicable warranty documents together. Ask which business to contact for installation questions and which route applies to product support. Do not assume every product and every part of the work has the same terms.
Record outstanding items clearly
If something remains to be completed or reviewed, write it down with the agreed next step and contact. Photographs can help describe the item, but should support a clear written account.
After using the room, report concerns promptly through the agreed contact route. A useful handover gives you both a finished-room check and a clear way to raise questions afterwards.
Bring it into your own room
Ask how the handover will work when discussing your installation. Explore the fitting options or send your enquiry.
